About me

My paintings are a commentary on my daily life. I'm inspired by the natural and man-made beauty of East Anglia, especially its expanses of coast and waterways, which I explore whilst wild swimming. My memories are reflected in my paintings which can be whimsical, ethereal and fun. The importance of my family is ever present in my paintings, elevating objects for their representation of treasured moments. For me, colour radiates joy.

I recreate both the impact of architectural and natural bold, bright colours swathed in sunlight, that I has observed on my travels, and the myriad of colours found in the British country garden.

Using the sensuous and powerful qualities of oils and acrylics, and the tranquil hues of watercolour, I translate inspiration from the Fauvist movement into contemporary, playful studies of her environment and the people in my life.

My paintings communicate a connection to a place of significance or a moment in time.
